Coaching Spotlight: Harvesting Growth Through Trust and Communication

As the leaves turn and we settle into the season of gratitude, it’s the perfect time to reflect on growth. Not just the growth of a business, but the growth of a team. This has been especially true for one of our clients whose executive team has been digging deep into leadership development, focusing on building trust and navigating conflict with honesty and courage.

Their goals are clear: improve healthy conflict and communication, strengthen their executive team, and enhance transparency. And their recent wins are already showing that progress is possible when a team commits to a shared objective.

Just the day before a recent Core Matters session, this team held a four-hour executive meeting marked by open, candid dialogue. They leaned into uncomfortable conversations, shared perspectives respectfully, and made space for transparency. It was a real demonstration of their commitment to their core values:

  • Give a Damn: They showed up for each other, tackling tough topics with care and pride.
  • Built on Trust: They practiced honesty and respect, listening to understand and having each other’s backs.
  • Stand Behind the Work: They made choices with excellence in mind, owning their ideas and actions.
  • Iron Sharpens Iron: By challenging one another thoughtfully, they grew stronger as individuals and as a team.

What’s most inspiring is the team’s eagerness to embrace growth. They’re not just talking about change. They’re embodying it, laying the foundation for stronger culture, more effective communication, and a team that can tackle any challenge together.

As we move into the season of thankfulness, it’s worth celebrating this team’s dedication. Not just to results, but to each other. They’re proof that when a team invests in trust and communication, the harvest is richer than any bottom line.
