The Employer of Choice Advantage

Coaching Spotlight: The Employer of Choice Advantage

One of our clients recently hired an Employee Experience Leader, and the story behind the hire says a lot about what it means to be an employer of choice.

During the search, they found a candidate they were really excited about. On paper, she had plenty of options. In fact, she was coming from a role that paid significantly more than what a small business could offer.

But instead of chasing the highest paycheck, she surprised everyone. She told them she was willing to take a pay cut to join their team.

Why?

Because she wanted to be part of a small business where her work mattered. She said she could see herself making a real difference here. Something she didn’t feel in a bigger company. Most importantly, she told them they had done an incredible job of showing what life on their team would actually look like. Throughout the hiring process, she experienced their culture, their values, and their genuine care for people.

That’s what tipped the scales.

When you hire the Core Fit way, the right candidates don’t just see a job description. They see themselves as part of the team. They don’t just look at pay. They look at purpose.

That’s the advantage of being an employer of choice: top talent chooses you, even when the competition offers more money.

This is the kind of win that sets companies apart.

It’s proof that when you lead with culture and clarity, you don’t have to compete on compensation alone. You attract people who want to be there. And those are the people who stick around.
