Coaching Spotlight: Embracing Your Why

Hey. I need to talk to you tomorrow. I’m ready to set a date.

Recently I received this message from a client who was ready to make a significant life change.

A few years ago, I met him during a workshop on values, vision, and purpose. He was impressed by what he heard and wanted to bring that clarity to his own business.

We started working together and over the years, he’s faced numerous challenges with the leadership team at his large company. Despite his great success, he struggled to delegate work and felt like he needed to do everything so it was done right. You know what that means – long days at work and restless nights of sleep.

A New Perspective

However, a recent vacation gave this client a new perspective. He realized life is too short to spend it stressed and overworked. He decided he wanted to enjoy life to its fullest and set a goal to transition his company to the leadership team within the next few years. After two and a half years of working together, the decision was a breakthrough – aligning his personal goals with his business objectives.

The day-to-day hustle can distract you from the bigger picture. But if you can build a team you trust, you’ll be able to take time away to reflect on your business and your dreams.

Get Clear About Your Purpose

Just like our client realized, when you’re clear about your purpose and what you want out of life and business, it’s easier to make decisions that align with your goals. And remember, it’s not just about your company’s purpose, but also about your personal calling. You have to understand your why.

As a coach, it’s rewarding to see clients have these breakthroughs. When they know their why, they’re more open to change, more effective leaders, and ultimately more fulfilled.

Take the time to figure out your purpose. It’ll help you achieve your goals and ignite your passion for work.

Knowing your why is important, but having the right team to support your plans is crucial. Let’s make your vision a reality.
