I want to take a moment to highlight the incredible work our clients are doing through the power of collaboration and accountability.
About a year ago, we introduced small accountability groups where companies, all implementing the same processes under our guidance, come together to develop their systems, improve communication, and retain their employees.
Recently, during one of our sessions, a client shared an exciting yet challenging opportunity. Their company is expanding into a new city, two hours away from their main office. They’ve established themselves well locally, but this new venture presented a unique challenge:
How do you staff and manage a team in a new location while ensuring they align with your company’s culture and values?
Naturally, they were concerned about hiring new people in this area, worried that remote employees might feel isolated, start doing things “their way,” and fall out of sync with company culture.
In response, another client stepped in with invaluable advice: The thing you really need to worry about is that whoever you hire aligns with your company’s culture.
That sparked a powerful conversation about the importance of culture alignment over skills. The advice was clear. Send someone from the existing team to the new location and spend time onboarding the new hires – not just teaching them the job but ensuring they feel connected to the company’s values and ways of working. By the end of the discussion, the business leader had a solid plan for moving forward thanks to the shared experience and support from their peers in the group.
These accountability groups are one of the highlights of my week. They bring immense value as business owners share challenges, offer solutions, and learn from one another’s successes and mistakes. Everyone is moving faster and smarter because we’re leveraging collective experience.
I’m so proud of the support and collaboration that’s happening within these groups. If you’re not part of this community but are looking for support in attracting, hiring, and retaining great people while scaling your business, I encourage you to reach out. It might just be the solution you’ve been searching for.
